Peter Cullimore scooped a lifetime achievement award on Wednesday night at the Trade Association Forum awards. Anita Holbrow, Director of Marketing and Member Services said: “I would like to congratulate Peter on behalf of the REC on receiving this award. Peter Cullimore has been at the forefront of this industry, fighting to raise standards and professionalise the care recruitment industry by being a staunch champion of the REC. Peter remains unstinting in his commitment and passion to improve standards and policies. His unique skill set and dedication have seen him excel as Chair of the Nursing & Social Care Sector Group. He has consistently dedicated his effort to fostering best practice across the care sector. He truly deserves this award.” Peter has consistently raised awareness of key issues affecting the care sector, such as vetting and registration procedures, skills and staff shortages, safer recruitment policies. Fellow REC board member Kim-Marie Freeston of Lifeline Personnel said: “Peter’s commitment to the industry and his strong belief in standards have made him an invaluable member of the REC Board and a champion of the industry to stakeholders. Peter’s dedication has seen him participate in the work of the REC at all levels, from an active corporate member, to Chairing the REC Nursing and Social Care Sector Group, and to Chairing the Finance Committee. He has been a consistent force enthusing members and inspiring colleagues, and his unselfish dedication to the REC has brought an outstanding contribution to its success.” Peter is Chair of the Nursing & Social Care Sector Group and one of the longest serving REC Executive Board Members.
