REC Chief Executive Kevin Green has been one of the guest speakers at American Staffing Association’s Annual Convention in New Orleans this week.
The first event at which he spoke on Wednesday was on international opportunities. In his address,Kevin highlighted the current state of the UK economy, how this was impacting on the jobs market and the role that the REC has played in actively supporting its members. Despite the difficult climate, the UK recruitment industry has once again proved its resilience and has began the road back to recovery. Kevin was also invited to take part in a high level panel focusing on trends and opportunities in the global staffing market with industry leaders from across the world and moderated by Eurociett President Annemarie Muntz.
Yesterday (Thursday), he addressed the main room and 1600 delegates on the World Employment Conference next year which the REC is hosting in London in May.
Commenting from the ASA Convention, Kevin Green, said: “Being invited to speak at this high-profile event is recognition for the pioneering work that the REC has taken forward in areas such as compliance, research and professionalising the industry. This has also been a unique opportunity to exchange views with international staffing organisations and to pick up latest trends that we can use to inform the work and strategic planning of our members,

An overview of the key themes and issues raised at the ASA conference in New Orleans will be circulated to REC members.
